How to make a website in 5 steps!

A website seems like it’s really hard if you don’t know what you are doing and where to start.  Well let me show you how with 5 easy steps on making a website.

Step 1

Figure out your website name and register it with a domain registration company like Godaddy, Network Solutions, and Hostgator.  It may be hard to find a good name these days, since a lot of them are already purchased, but try to get creative and you’ll find something.

Step 2

Now that you have a domain name, you’ll need a place to store all the data of the website, a server/host.  There are many companies out there but I recommend Hostgator hosting company they’ve been great for me and I’ve always had good support from them.

Step 3

Install wordpress onto your server.  You’re hosting company should have programs to install it automatically.  Just check the cpanel for wordpress (cpanel is kinda like the homepage of your hosting for your website).

Step 4

Once wordpress is installed you can log in and start typing in your content and adding pictures.

Step 5

One of the biggest mistakes for a website is not updating the content on the website.  All too often I stumble upon websites with outdated information.  So keep your content fresh and the best way to do that is by typing new info.
